epiphanies

my lack of posts is not due to sloth – but rather a lot going on. This is actually a bad excuse – because what I have planned will include (God willing) a combination of work and blog. Have you ever heard the saying ‘if you have something that needs to be done, give it to a busy person’? Well this last week I was working on some spec work drum tracks and I made a work-flow discovery which will really have an effect on how I approach music. Without getting into too much detail, it had a real ‘aha’ effect on me – and it got me thinking about what I thought were my limitations, or boxes in music (and how they can be gotten out of). I might look at this as my BE and AE, short for Before Epiphany and After Epiphany. One of Gods great gifts to us is the gift of learning. I believe as Christians we are to learn daily about what it means to have a relationship with God, and in the work realm, a la Ecclesiastes 9:10, we are to approach our work with zeal and a sense of learning adventure. I am so amazed at how awesome my loving Lord is, and his gifts of music and the realms of muse that I gotta go write about it…
